11-26-2008 - Asterisk rxgain and txgain
For a while now I've been having feedback that the audio is to quiet for people to hear on our PRI. From what I can tell the zapata.conf file has two values. The rxgain and txgain. To gauge how well the adjustment is going you can use the command:

/usr/src/zaptel/ztmonitor 1 -vv

Make sure you define that channel you are monitoring correctly. In the example above I used channel 1. I haven't finished making the adjustments, but I thought I should atleast make note of it in my blog so I can reference it in the future.
