Towing Scam | 10-31-2008 - How secure is your password? I came across this password security brute force time tool moments ago and thought I should definitely make note of it. With all the brute force attacks on ssh these days, I thought I would just test it out. At first I thought "There is no way I am putting my password into the tool", but then I noticed it just asks general information about it. I was shocked to see that just by adding 1 capitol letter, it boosts the time quite a bit. What did we learn from this boys and girls? Use at least 1 uppcase letter, a couple numbers and a special character... and make it longer then 8 characters if you can. (0) Comments |
